Cadillac is a well-known brand appreciated by many, but it still has a lot of competition in this most competitive industry, the world of auto manufacturing. Thus, the 2014 Cadillac CTS promises to be quite a treat with its new and revised exterior and internal parts; the brand has always made beautiful and qualitative cars, but it’s important to be the best, or to constantly strive for it. With its dynamic design, powerful lines, lowered front and raised rear, the new CTS is a dramatic appearance.

2014 Cadillac CTS The all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS midsize luxury sedan will go sale in the fall, 2013. A longer, lower and more athletic-looking proportion is introduced on Cadillac’s landmark sedan and evolves the brand’s Art & Science design philosophy. A range of power-dense powertrains underpin its performance, including the all-new Cadillac Twin-Turbo 3.6L engine with 420 hp and an eight-speed automatic transmission in the new Vsport model.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS is a luxury sedan, and this model is actually quite different from previous CTS variants, both in design and performance. To begin with, it is much more powerful, and an interesting feature is that it is 4.1 inches longer than previous models, measuring now 114.6 inches. More impressively, it is also 250 pounds lighter than the CTS currently on the market, thus weighing only 3,616 pounds. Reportedly, it is also lighter than other cars in its category, like the BMW 528i.

Another aspect that makes this vehicle a gem is the impressive weight distribution achievement of 50.1/49.9% weight balance. It becomes obvious just with these features that its lightness and weight distribution make the 2014 Cadillac CTS a very capable and resourceful car. Under the hood, this year’s CTS features a 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine that produces 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is the basic model that also features rear-wheel drive and six-speed automatic transmission, but buyers can also opt for the all-wheel drive.

A more performing version of the 2014 Cadillac CTS will be fitted with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with a capacity of 321 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, with all-wheel drive and six-speed automatic transmission. A novelty, not only for the model but for Cadillac in general, is the option to purchase a car fitted with eight-speed automatic transmission. Finally, there’s the sport version of this sedan, namely the CTS Vsport, which will feature a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine with a capacity of 420 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This model also has the eight-speed automatic transmission as a standard feature, and 18-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli tires. There will be several options for the interior, which will most likely be in two-tone combinations with wood, aluminum and carbon fiber for details, as well as leather seats upon request.
