In order to increase the thrill of driving a sports car the Maserati engineers have upgraded the 4,7 L V8 engine in order to deliver 450 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. The ZF six-speed automatic transmission is very efficient fuel wise but it can also be switched to sports mode if you really want to feel in control of this stunning supercar. Due to the Friction Reduction Program the car is a lot more responsive to the driver’s needs and in the same times it manages to reduce fuel consumption by 6 percent. And if you really want to push the super vehicle to its limit then you must know that it can reach as much as 177 mph.

Although the most important element of a sports car is its performance no one can argue that a vehicle’s exterior design has a great contribution in a person’s decision of purchasing the car. Taking this fact into account we can safely assume that after seeing this car a lot of people are checking their savings accounts. The 2012 Maserati Grancabrio Sport follows the same fluid design as most sports cars. However it has certain elements that give it a unique look such as the new front which features a sharper nose complemented by the black grill and the well known trident that represents the brand’s logo. The darker headlights make for a more mysterious look. The 20 inches Astro designed wheels with the Trident shape are jaw dropping and so are the unique side skirts.

The interior of the new model is as luxurious as you would expect after laying your eyes on the car’s exterior. The M-design seats come in two colors and as for the gadgets go we are sure that you won’t miss anything. As far as the competition goes the 2012 Maserati Grancabrio Sport falls in the same category as the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It can be purchased for approximately $142,800 but we are pretty sure that no passionate driver would regret such an investment.
